Match Report: Preseason winning run comes to an end away to VfB Stuttgart (5-2)

VfB Stuttgart got themselves back in front through Tiago Tomás in the dying embers of the first half.
Valencia CF trailed VfB Stuttgart by a 2-1scoreline at halftime at the Mercedes Benz Arena.
Valencia CF were off to a poor start to the second half as Silas made it 3-1 to VfB Stuttgart right after the restart.
Marcos André enjoyed the first Valencia CF chance of the second half with a forceful header which went the wrong side of the post.
However, minutes later, persistence paid dividends as the Brazilian reduced the deficit nodding it home from close range to grab a brace.
The joy was short-lived as Perea restored VfB Stuttgart's two-goal cushion just under the hour mark. Valencia made a raft of changes with 20 min of regulation time plus stoppage time left to go.
Valencia CF saw a start-stop passage of play due to substitutions and fouls in the closing stages of the second half.
VfB Stuttgart completed the scoreline on the stroke of full-time through Churlinov. The game ended in a 5-2 loss.
Valencia CF will visit Premier League's newly promoted side, Nottingham Forest, on Saturday the 29th of July at 6 pm at City Ground looking to bounce back from their first loss of the preseason.
