Match Report: Hard-earned home win over Osasuna Promesas (1-0)
VCF Mestalla played their tenth preseason match against Osasuna Promesas another fellow Segunda B side from group which saw Valencia CF Mestalla register their second preseason win on the spin and keep their second clean sheet.
The opening minutes saw a cagey spell a tough battle in midfield with chances few and far between for either side. The first chance fell to Osasuna Promesas but his shot was kept out by Ándres Céspedes but VCF Mestalla responded at the other end with another effort which went off target.
Andrés Céspedes was called into action minutes before the break to keep out a Daniel Santafé header following a series of Osasuna Promesas corner kicks.
The first half finished scoreless with nothing to separate the sides at half-time.

The same script followed in the second half with very few half-time changes from either side. However, Ndombasi got on the end of a well-worked move down the left wing and Carlos Gónzalez delivered a cross which found Ndombasi who nodded it home to give VCF Mestalla the lead.
Despite the change of personnel, VCF Mestalla maintained the same style of play and they came close to doubling their advantage with a powerful Pablo Gozálbez drive which was parried behind for a corner kick.
VCF Mestalla left no space at the back and restricting the opposition to an effort outside the box which was comfortably claimed by Charly. The game ended in a 1-0 win for VCF Mestalla and a clean sheet which is always a bonus.
