Valencia CF visited Deportivo Alavés on Sunday the 13th of February at 2 pm kick-off time at Mendizorrotza on Matchday 24 of LaLiga.
Valencia CF had a quiet start to the game at Mendizorrotza. The first meaningful chance fell to Gonçalo Guedes who forced a smart out of Pacheco with a brilliant effort after juking past two players on the ten-minute mark.

Valencia CF coach, José Bordalás, shuffled his pack with a triple substitution at halftime with Hélder Costa, Marcos André and Carlos Soler making way for Maxi Gómez, Bryan Gil and Hugo Duro.
Valencia CF came out in the second half looking to get back on level terms and they did over the one hour mark for a handball offence against Jason Remesseiro. Gonçalo Guedes netted the resulting spot-kick which went in off the post.
However, Deportivo Alavés were awarded another penalty at the other end and Joselu made it 2-1 to the Basque side with 15 minutes plus stoppage time left to go.
Valencia CF kept on pushing for the equaliser, but the scoreline remained unchanged and they fell to a narrow 2-1 away loss to Deportivo Alavés.
Valencia CF will welcome FC Barcelona on Sunday the 20th of February at 4:15 pm kick-off time at Mestalla on Matchday 25 of LaLiga Santander.
