Lato: "It felt good to be back"
Toni Lato returned from injury in the cup win over CD Utrillas, and he spoke to VCF Media after the final whistle.
Returning from injury
I felt good. I was keen to get back to being with my teammates on a pitch and enjoying myself. I've been working hard for this for a long time. It's been almost two tough months, but with hard work I'm ok. I'm happy to get back to playing minutes and helping the team.
The format of the cup
The Copa del Rey is great for everyone. I come from a small town and I understand what all the people and the players feel. We took this one seriously, respecting the opposition, because these are early rounds that can be tough. I think the format is good for everyone and I really like it. My brother plays in the same category as Utrillas, and I hope one day I can play against him.
Competitiveness in the team
It is good for the team that there is competitiveness in all positions. I am able to play wherever the coach needs me and to give everything I have. I will try to perform to the maximum, wherever the coach plays me.
