Kondogbia on the comeback trail
The final training session ahead of the game against Real Valladolid (Saturday, 4:15pm CET) took place on Friday morning at the Ciudad Deportiva, but the big news from the morning workout involved a player who will not feature in the latest LaLiga matchday.
Geoffrey Kondogbia tested out his fitness on the practice pitch, for the first time since suffering a left hamstring injury back in December. The midfielder pulled up in the Champions League game against Manchester United, and is set to be out until the beginning of February.
He was given recovery work and mobility exercises by the club's fitness coaches, and will continue with his specific routine with an eye on a speedy return to peak condition.
