Jose Gayà’s goal gives Valencia CF a point versus CD Leganés
Valencia CF had a good start having possession and looking to score. Ezequiel Garay had the first chance for Valencia CF with a header which was saved by the keeper in the second minute of the match. Denis Cherysev was replaced by Denis Cheryshev in the 15th minute and the latter tried his luck but Cuellar saved his shot. Moments later, CD Leganes cleared the ball sending it out of play.
Valencia CF kept on having more chances with Rodrigo Moreno sending it high and Kevin Gameiro’s shot saved by the keeper in the 26th minute with CD Leganés happy to defend in the area. The first half ended scoreless between Valencia CF and CD Leganés in Mestalla.
Valencia CF started the second half looking to score. Michy Batsuhayi replaced Cristiano Piccini in the 58th minute but sadly, minutes later, Valencia CF conceded a penalty which was scored by Gumbau from 11 meters.
Valencia CF tried to make it 1-1 with shots by Daniel Wass and Carlos Soler the first one going high and the second wide of the target but it was José Gayà though who made it 1-1 for Valencia CF with a left-footed shot that went in late in the match.
The match between Valencia CF and CD Leganés ended 1-1. Valencia CF will play versus BSC Young Boys on Tuesday, October 23rd in the Stade de Suisse, Bern at 19:00 kick-off time (CET) in the Champions League.
