Javier Solís: "We are all, absolutely all of us, against racism, but we must also reject the accusation that has been made directly against Valencia CF fans as a whole"
Statements by Valencia CF's Corporate Director on DAZN before the match against RCD Mallorca.
Everybody against Racism
The first thing that we must do, as the club did from the very beginning, is to condemn and show our absolute rejection of any racist insult, symbol or manifestation. From the first moment, the club were collaborating with the police and acted very proactively. To reiterate once again that it is incumbent on all the clubs and all the people who are in football to fight against a scourge that has no place in the game.
Appealing the sanction
We trust that the precautionary measure will be granted, which is what we have requested in the appeal to the Committee. Later, we will go into detail. I insist that we are all, absolutely all of us, against racism, but we must also reject the accusation that has been made directly against Valencia CF fans as a whole, insist that they have always behaved in an exemplary manner and that they do not deserve the label they have been given.
Video evidence
We have not had access to the file until today at noon. Once we can see what the entire file is based on, what images there are, we can get to the bottom of the matter.
