Home dressing room at Mestalla to be named after Españeta
On November 1st, Valencia CF will begin a series of initiatives to remember beloved former kitman Bernardo España 'Españeta,' who spent 55 years at the club and represented passion and dedication like no other.

As of the next home game, before which a minute's silence will be observed in his memory, the home dressing room at Mestalla will be officially renamed the 'Vestuario Bernardo España ‘Españeta.’' One of the seats inside will always be left empty in honour of the legendary kitman, with a photo and commemorative plaque in place.

In addition, Gate 12 of the stadium will display his image and name, joining other Valencia CF legends honoured for their role in the club's 100+ years of history.
A place in which to remember Españeta will be set up next to the home bench in the coming days, marking the position from which he watched generation after generation of Valencia CF teams.
In accordance with his wishes, Españeta's ashes will be scattered on the pitch at Mestalla by his family.
