Gonçalo Guedes made his return to action in Valencia CF's Copa del Rey game against Granada, having recovered from the injury that had kept him sidelined thus far in 2020. The Portuguese was brought on in the 67th minute, with the score at 1-1, replacing Ferran Torres.
More minutes will be required to get Guedes up to match fitness, but he showed signs of his skills during his cameo appearance. With his very first move of the game, he beat a Granada player and could only be stopped by a deliberate foul.
Guedes also had a chance to score off a clever dribble in the 87th minute, but his shot would go wide.
His return to action was the positive note from the quarter final game, and gave an indication that there is plenty more to come from the 23 year old in the second half of the season.
