Gayà: "There are still plenty of points up for grabs"
Despite Valencia CF's superiority against Getafe CF, the game at Mestalla ended goalless. After the final whistle, José Luis Gayà gave his feelings about the 90 minutes at Mestalla.
"Games against Getafe CF are intense and tough. In the end, we've taken a draw that isn't too much use to us, because we should have won here at home and gone closer to fourth place. However, we are not going to give up and we have to keep fighting," he told VCF Media.
"We have to win at home. It wasn't an easy game and there were lots of stoppages, but we should have won and we didn't. We struggled in the first half: Getafe created danger with some long balls. But we kept serious and wanted to win, even though it wasn't to be."
Gaya added that there was still time to catch the sides above them in the LaLiga table.
"There are still plenty of points up for grabs, and we have a good dynamic going. It's been many games since we last lost, and we are going to keep fighting."
