Gayà marks 200th LaLiga appearance with latest assist

José Luis Gayà continues to reach new milestones with Valencia CF, and in the game against Granada CF he celebrated 200 LaLiga appearances for the club.

The fullback marked the occasion in style, setting up Daniel Wass with the assist for the Dane to convert in the first half and open the scoring.

Gayà now has 5 assists in league competition this season, having provided balls for his teammates against Real Sociedad, Cadiz CF, Real Valladolid, Atletico Madrid and Granada CF. He is closing in on his best total of passes leading to a goal for a single season: 6 from 35 games in 2014/15. He last provided 5 in 2017/18, from 34 games.

In his 252 games in total for Valencia CF, Gayà has racked up a total of 28 assists. Some 22 have come in LaLiga action, with 3 in the UEFA Champions League, 2 in the UEFA Europa League and 1 in the Copa del Rey.
