📺 Gameiro: “Games against Getafe are always tough, but we are going to fight for the win"
Kevin Gameiro returned to scoring ways with a goal against Celta Vigo last weekend, helping the team to victory. He and his colleagues are determined to get a winning run going, and have the opportunity to do so with a trip to Getafe on Saturday night.
"We have to keep working hard every day, in order to win games at the weekend. We've got a very important game coming up against Getafe. They are down near the bottom like us, and we have to go there with the mentality of winning the game. We have to fight to compete. We know that if we take the win there, we will be a few points further away from the dangerous positions in the table," he told VCF Media on Wednesday.
"It's always a difficult game, but we're going to fight to the end and show the desire that we have."

"These games are always tough. There's a lot of contact and we have to fight for every ball. That's what we did in the last game, right to the end. We should be clear that we've done everything to win the game."

Gameiro goes into the contest boosted by a late strike against Celta Vigo, which helped both the team and the Frenchman individually.
"It's good to win in difficult circumstances as well. We scored two goals in the final minutes of the last game, and that gives us more confidence for the coming matches. We have to continue with this mentality," he stated.
"My goal is good for my head and for my confidence. It's been a difficult season for me on a personal level, as I've had a lot of injuries and also caught COVID-19. That doesn't help, but I'm ok now and I want to help the team to pick up points. I'm here for the team, to give my all."
