Gabriel Paulista: “The fans will make Seville feel like Valencia”

Gabriel Paulista lifted the Copa del Rey in 2019 with Valencia CF, and wants to repeat the feat on April 23rd at La Cartuja. The experience of the Spanish-Brazilian defender will be key, and he explained his thoughts to VCF MEDIA.
The big final
“We are looking forward to the day of the final. We are very well prepared for this great moment and we are looking for another cup. The squad are very excited and they can’t wait for the moment to come. We have had difficult times. It has been a very tough road to this big final. We have suffered, we have worked hard for this day and now we have a good opportunity to lift another cup and enjoy it.”
Making history with Valencia CF
“On my first day with Valencia CF I said that I wanted to make history with this club. Every day that passes I keep looking to make important moments and I want to lift another cup. I want to do the same thing I did in 2019, when I didn't let any teammate touch it! Hopefully we can all celebrate together, and cry with joy from Seville to Mestalla.”
The voice of experience
“Those of us who have more experience must convey that it is a special game and that we have to enjoy it. You need to try to shake off your nerves and be as calm as possible because the stadium will be full, and the Betis fans will also be pushing hard. It's a unique game and we have to be as calm as possible and have a very good game.”
A message to the fans
"Thank you very much. They are always with us, even in the bad times. I’m sure that they will be with us in a moment as beautiful as this, like when we won the cup in 2019, when Seville looked like it was Valencia. I think that on Saturday it will be the same, and those of us on the pirch have to do the impossible to win the cup for our fans.”

“Seville is a city where Valencia CF have played and won beautiful things, and we are going to continue like this. We have another opportunity to win another cup and we are looking to do it.”

"I have a space reserved for another cup tattoo, but the most important thing is to win it first, then we'll figure out where to get another tattoo
