E. Barrenechea: “We’re really angry. Even the Deportivo Alavés players were saying it wasn’t a penalty”
Valencia CF midfielder reflects on the defeat against Deportivo Alavés
Valencia CF presence and fanbase in the USA has expanded with different international projects, such as the three VCF Soccer Academies in New York, Houston and Seattle, and a growing number of fans from North America have taken the club into their hearts.
Frank and Madison Chiera are two such supporters. Father and daughter recently enjoyed their first game at Mestalla, as Frank visited Madison in Valencia during her year studying abroad.
This was Frank’s first visit to the oldest stadium in LaLiga, whilst Madison had previously taken the Mestalla Forever Tour.
“The atmosphere is great and there is nothing like it in the US. It's a lot of fun and you can see the passion of the fans,” she told VCF Media ahead of kickoff.
The experience was completed with a tour of the city chosen by Forbes as the best city in the world to live in, as well as enjoying lunch at Bar Cremaet thanks to Grupo GastroAdictos. The whole experience was as surprise from Valencia CF to the Chiera family.
