FAN STORY | Bilal Mumtaz, Valencianista all the way from Pakistan
Bilal Mumtaz has been a Valencia CF fan since he was 14 years old. He follows the team from his native Pakistan, and never misses a televised fixture for his club in Spain.
"My earliest memory of Valencia CF is the victory against Olympique de Marseille in the 2004 UEFA Cup final," he tells VCF Media.
"Since then I have been supporting the team at all times, and the best moments have been the Copa del Rey trophy that we won in 2008 against Getafe CF, and the 2019 cup win against FC Barcelona."
Bilal has been able to watch two Valencia CF games live in person, having made the trip to Europe to tick it off his bucket list.
“One game was in the 2007 Emirates Cup against PSG. The other was against Juventus at Mestalla in the Champions League in 2018,”, he explains.
Once the Covid-19 pandemic is over, Bilal hopes to travel to Spain once again, to support Valencia CF at Mestalla.
