Early goal gives VCF Femenino win over Rayo Vallecano
VCF Femenino took a 1-0 victory at home against Rayo Vallecano in their latest Liga Iberdrola encounter, with an early goal from Jansen proving decisive. José Bargues’ side fought hard against an attacking side who employed a high press.
The goal came in the 9th minute of play, as Jansen muscled her way onto the ball inside the six-yard-box and converted past opposition goalkeeper Larqué.
Enith would be called upon to make a save from Rayo’s Garcia on the 20 minute mark, as the visitors began to push higher up the field in search of an equaliser. Their attacks left them vulnerable on the wings, where Beltrán and Candela dominated on the left and Bonsegundo on the right.
Just past the half-hour mark, Carro came close to doubling the lead with a header from a Torrodà free kick, which brushed the opposition post.

After the half time break, the action opened up. VCF Femenino had superior possession, with Rayo pegged back. Carro struck a shot just over on the hour, as did Aguado with an effort from outside the box.
VCF Femenino would hold on, as Enith saved from Ponciano minutes later, and in the final stages of the game they handed a debut to Woeller. The match ended in a victory and another three points for the team.
