Valencia CF Academy gets recognition at a sports gala
Diario Sport and LaLiga present VCF's Alevín A with an award for their behavior in last season’s LaLiga FC Futures
A complete representation of VCF Academy players has travelled this week to Singapore to participate in the JSSL Singapore Professional Academy, an international U16 F7 tournament that brings together teams from England, Spain, Portugal, Australia, Thailand, Johor and other countries.
The VCF Academy will be represented in the men's category with a selection of players from VCF Cadete A and a team from VCF Femenino C and VCF Femenino D who will take part in the women's edition of the tournament.
Beyond the football aspect, this tournament allows our young players to enjoy a great experience, living together for nearly a week and having the opportunity to broaden their cultural horizons.
"We want to spread the passion for Valencia CF both on a footballing and educational level," explains Luis Martínez, Director of the VCF Academy.
"Going to play in tournaments abroad helps us to try to demonstrate the level we have and also for people from other countries to get to know our working methodology. It also allows our players to live in other countries, to respect other cultures and to leave a good image at an educational level," says Luis Martínez, who recalls that during these weeks several VCF Academy teams are competing in tournaments in Spain, USA, Singapore, Italy and Turkey.
In the men's category, VCF Cadete A will try to repeat the good performance of the last edition of this tournament, in which VCF Juvenil B finished runners-up after losing in the final against Tottenham Hotspur FC.
The team coached by Vicente Amposta, will have the challenge of adapting to the format of the competition, with short matches and on small pitches and demonstrate the excellent level of play they are showing in the Lliga Autonòmica Cadete where they are pace-setters in the standings.
