Cup ever-present Jaume on the eve of his first final

For second choice goalkeepers, cup campaigns are sometimes the best way of getting regular minutes at a top side like Valencia CF. Shot stopper Jaume Domenech has made the position his own in the Copa del Rey this term, featuring in all 8 games and 720 minutes en route to the final.
The VCF custodian is set to get a starting role at the Benito Villamarín, and has been prepared for the opportunity with starts in the last two LaLiga games of the season, against Deportivo Alavés and Real Valladolid. In that pair of games he conceded just once, and has gone 168 minutes without shipping a goal.
In this season's Copa del Rey campaign, Jaume has let in less than a goal a game, with Valencia CF letting in just 7 strikes.
The final is the culmination not just of the 2018/19 season, but also six years at the club for the VCF keeper. He joined in 2013 from Huracán Valencia, and was called up to the first team two years later. Since his debut in the Primera División in 2015, there have been ups and downs for Jaume, as well as campaigns in which he has featured less regularly. However, he proudly exercises his role as one of the team's captains, and will attempt to win his first trophy for the club this Saturday against FC Barcelona.
