Correia: "We are excited about the semi final and working hard"

The Portuguese says that the focus is now on beating Athletic Club in the Copa del Rey

Thierry Correia spoke to VCF Media after the 0-0 draw with Real Sociedad, having played the full 90 minutes of the game.

Focusing on the Copa del Rey semifinal

"From Monday, we will work on preparing for the semifinal. We are excited and we will continue working hard."

Playing 90 minutes again

"I hadn't played a full 90 minutes for a long time, after suffering my injury and then having COVID-19. I always keep working to be able to play for the entire game."

The draw against Real Sociedad

"We tried to win the game. It wasn't possible, but the clean sheet is good for us. The only positive is the clean sheet, because we wanted the 3 points and we didn't get them."

Fatigue in the final minutes

"Both we and Real Sociedad had played in the Copa del Rey in midweek, so it's normal that in the final minutes our legs were, but we keep fighting. There are still many games to go, and we're going to fight in all of them to get the 3 points."
