Copa del Rey Round of 16 opponents to be decided on Friday
After their 0-2 victory against AD Alcorcón, Valencia CF are through to the Round of 16 of the Copa del Rey. The draw will be held on Friday, January 22nd at 1:00pm CET, at the Ciudad del Fútbol de Las Rozas in Madrid.
So far, 12 of the teams entered into the draw have been decided, with Round of 32 games involving the teams that played the Spanish Supercopa yet to be played.
As per the new format of the competition, ties will be played over a single leg, with the lower division side getting home advantage. When two sides from the same division are drawn against one another, the order of the balls drawn will decide which team plays at home.
The Round of 16 matches are scheduled to take place on January 26th, 27th and 28th.
The following teams have been confirmed for the Round of 16 of the Copa del Rey:
Primera División: VALENCIA CF, Levante UD, Real Valladolid, Sevilla FC, CA Osasuna, Granada CF, Real Betis and Villarreal CF
Segunda División: UD Almería, Girona FC, Rayo Vallecano
Segunda B: CDA Navalcarnero
Still to be played: Córdoba vs. Real Sociedad, Alcoyano vs. Real Madrid, UD Ibiza vs. Athletic Club, Cornellà vs. FC Barcelona.
