Contract extensions for several VCF Femenino players

The squad for 2019/20 is taking shape

VCF Femenino have made a series of contract renewals ahead of the 2019/20 LaLiga Iberdrola season.

A part of the club since the 2013/14 season, Gio Carreras will compete in her seventh consecutive season for VCF Femenino in the 2019/20 campaign.

Maria Pi will contest her third campaign for the club, whom she joined in the runup to the 2017/18 season from Levante UD. Her new contract also runs through to June 30th, 2020.

Having impressed in her debut season with the first team last term, 20 year old defender Maria Ortiz will remain at the club through June 30th 2021. She was part of the VCF Femenino B team that won their division and earned promotion to the Primera División B, as well as playing 10 league games and 1 cup fixture last season.

VCF Femenino will also keep Dutch goalkeeper Jennifer Vreugdenhil at the club until June 30th, 2020, after the two parties reached an agreement.

Another Dutch player, defender Mandy Van den Berg, has had her deal extended through to June 30th, 2020. She originally signed for VCF Femenino in 2018 and was the team's third captain this past season.
