Cheryshev: "We have to work hard and be united"
Denis Cheryshev made his return to action with a substitute appearance against Athletic Club, participating in the second half of the game. The winger, who came on for Gonçalo Guedes, talked about the 2-2 result with VCF Media.
The result
"I think that the first half was very good. It's just a pity about the result. If we had maybe come out a little more focused and alert for some avoidable chances in the second half, then the result could have been different."
The squad
"I think that we have a great team. There are a lot of young players, but they are working very well and have a lot of desire. We have to keep going, because every game is going to be a final for us. We have to work hard and be united, because we are all going to have minutes. The Copa del Rey is coming up, and everybody will get their chance. We have to be very united now, because that's important."
Making his return
"When you've been out, you are maybe a little off the pace and lacking in gas when you come back in, but thankfully everything went well. I feel good, so now it's time to keep going."
