Cheryshev: "We could have killed the game off earlier"

A ball stolen by Denis Cheryshev led to the move in which Gonçalo Guedes scored his vital late goal against FC Krasnodar. The Russian gave his verdict on the game and his side's progress in Europe following the final whistle.
"The game became difficult for us, and we could have killed it off earlier, but we leave here with a good taste in our mouths after that great goal by Guedes," he said.
"We had some very good chances to go ahead, such as one for Carlos Soler in the first half. I had another chance and there was a further opportunity in the second half. Their goal made things very hard, but this team have shown that we believe until the end."
"Gonçalo is participating more all the time. Against Girona he got us a great goal and had a really good game. We are all going to be important until the end of the season."
Next up for Valencia CF is a match against Getafe CF on Sunday at 6:30pm local time.
