Cheryshev continues impressive preseason stats

Denis Cheryshev once again made a decisive impact in a preseason fixture, this time in the 3-2 win for Valencia CF against Cartagena FC. The Russian scored an equaliser and also provided an assist for Omar Alderete in the encounter, which took place at the Antonio Puchades on Saturday.

For his goal, Cheryshev pounced onto a rebound to turn the ball into the net. For his assist, he sent a well-placed corner towards the box for the new loan signing to finish.

In three games, he has racked up two goals and two assists. Last week, against Villarreal CF, he scored the winning goal, and also set up Gonçalo Guedes against Atromitos FC.
