Valencia CF Academy gets recognition at a sports gala
Diario Sport and LaLiga present VCF's Alevín A with an award for their behavior in last season’s LaLiga FC Futures
The VCF Escoles program run by the VCF Academy has incorporated CF Benidorm this season, as it joins the nearly 50 schools affiliated with Valencia CF throughout the Valencia and Murcia regions, in addition to Real Unión de Tenerife.
The club -the result of the merger between Racing CF Benidorm and Atlético Benidorm CD- joins a VCF Escoles program and has received a big boost with the arrival of DV7 Group, a business group founded by David Villa and Víctor Oñate, to manage the entity. In this club, almost 500 players train daily, with 28 teams involved in competition.
Villa was at the Ciudad Deportiva several months ago to learn the secrets of the VCF Academy and show the day-to-day life of the youth system through the DAZN series “Or7gen."
Together with the president of CF Benidorm, Jordi Bruixola, youth football director Manuel Esteban, technical secretary Agustín Alves and sporting adviser Claudio López were all present for the signing of the agreement.
“We want to be by Valencia CF's side, help each other, take advantage of all the resources that we know very well, and make it so that Valencia CF's links with Benidorm and the province of Alicante grow,” says Bruixola.
"We have worked to merge football in Benidorm, we have David Villa as vice president, a person who means everything to Valencia CF, and Claudio López. We can't wait to start working together and see the results as soon as possible.”
