Celades fields 21 of 22 available players
In the month that he has spent in the Valencia CF dugout, Albert Celades has been able to run the rule over almost all of the players available to him, thanks to a busy fixture list in LaLiga and the Champions League.
The VCF coach has fielded 21 of the 22 players available to him, with a further two to return from injury (Cristiano Piccini and Carlos Soler were both sidelined before Celades' arrival). Eliaquim Mangala is the only first team player still yet to feature this term, and his circumstances are slightly different to those of his teammates due to his lack of regular football in the past year through an injury of his own.

The latest squad members to enter into Celades' rotations are Manu Vallejo and Rubén Sobrino, playing their first minutes of the season in the second half against Athletic Club, then enjoying further playing time against Alavés.
Whilst the pair are the only two players not to feature in a starting lineup to date, their recent appearances indicate that they are very much part of the coach's plans, and he praised their patience and hard work after the match at San Mamés.

Celades also handed a debut to Thierry Correia, using him in a match against Getafe that also saw Jaume Domenech play for the first time since the Copa del Rey win last season. The coach explained the latter decision by saying that "The goalkeeper is another player in our squad. We know the qualities of our two goalkeepers and we have to make the most of them."
Competing in LaLiga, the Champions League, the Spanish Supercopa and the Copa del Rey, and with another packed schedule on the way, Celades has a squad of players who will not be daunted when they get their opportunities to shine.
