‘Valencia CF visits your school’ kicks off a new season in Torrent
The Club will visit twelve schools with special attention to the centres affected by the flash floods
Samu Castillejo returned from the injury he suffered in the match against Cádiz CF in Valencia CF's fixture against UD Almería, and was close to scoring the winning goal late on. The winger spoke to VCF Media at the conclusion of the match.
Improvement required
It's the same feeling we've been having for weeks. You take the lead, you play well, but you just don't kill the game off -and in the end our mistakes mean we don't win. Besides refereeing errors, we must focus on ourselves and improve. If we want to be at the top of the table, we must improve at home.
Taking the lead
Taking the lead is the most difficult thing. You play a lot more freely with the score in your favour, but for some reason it's hard for us. There is a lot left to do; we have a great squad and we are very hard-working.
Returning quickly from injury
I had to convince the doctor. The period after the operation was one month. With the splint, it's a matter of how scared you are. I wanted to be available to help the team. It's a pity, because I had the last chance to score.
Targeting the Copa del Rey for the fans
It is a competition that has brought much joy to this club. We are going to give everything to be able to give joy to our fans, who deserve it.
