Baraja reunites with Mestalla
Baraja spent a decade on the pitch of Mestalla accumulating triumphs and great nights to remember. Now he returns as a coach, showing the character and leadership that he exhibited in the midfield at the beginning of the 21st century.

Rubén Baraja returns to Mestalla and this Saturday, February 25, against Real Sociedad he will coach his first game in the stadium where he has been so many times as a fan, suffering and enjoying like any Valencianista.

Baraja knows the Mestalla stands well, both as a player and as a fan, and knows what he can bring to the team.
"As a player I have experienced a Mestalla that encouraged you, that gave you wings, that pushed you... I would like my players to be able to experience the same Mestalla that I have experienced," he said at his press conference presentation.

It is now time to reunite with a stadium where Baraja scored 32 goals. Some of the most memorable goals are undoubtedly the two in the comeback against RCD Espanyol in LaLiga 2001/02, the goal against FC Barcelona that helped them qualify for the final of the Copa del Rey in 2008 or a spectacular volley against Real Madrid in 2009
