Anil Murthy: “Today is a sad day. We will always remember Juan Cruz Sol and will give him the homage he deserves”
Valencia CF president Anil Murthy expressed his sadness at news of the passing of club legend Juan Cruz Sol. Mr. Murthy worked closely alongside Sol, who most recently was an ambassador and board member at VCF.
"Today is a sad day for Valencia CF and for football in general. Juan Cruz Sol was a great man. He was so generous, with his affection and love for everybody.
On behalf of myself and on behalf of Peter Lim, the Board of Directors and all employees at the club, I offer our condolences to Paola and to his children.
Juan dedicated his entire life to football. He spent many years here in Valencia. He helped me a lot with his advice and I spent a lot of time with him at stadiums, as well as outside of them, with his family.
We will always remember the great person that Juan Cruz Sol was, and we are going to give him the homage that he deserves. We will be planning this homage over the coming days. I am saddened by our loss.
