Anil Murthy: “The VCF Academy is the past, present and future of this club. We have to celebrate our history and write our future”
Valencia CF President Anil Murthy took part in the commemorative events that celebrate the 30th anniversary of Ciudad Deportiva, an event that brought together around 400 people to commemorate the history, identity and vision of the VCF Academy -a project that today is a reference around the world and which, as highlighted by FIFA's CIES Football Observatory, ranks sixth in bringing the most youth academy players to the elite in the five major European leagues.
The awards ceremony was attended by players from the men's and women's first teams such as José Gayà, Carlos Soler and Bea Beltrán, as well as ambassadors Arias, Bossio and Tendillo. The President of Valencia CF took the opportunity to convey a message of confidence to all employees and players of the VCF Academy, our system of training in values on and off the pitch, of which he highlighted its historical connection with the first team, its future projection or the recent integration of the women's teams: "It is our past, present and future".
