Match Report: VCF MESTALLA snatch late win against Nffc FC B (0-1)
oselu's last-gasp goal earned VCF Mestalla the win on Matchday 2 of the Premier League International Cup
VCF Mestalla’s captain, Adrián Gómez shared his thoughts ahead of visiting table-toppers UD Ibiza at 12 pm kick-off time at Can Mises on Matchday 14 in group III B of Segunda B. VCF will try to come away with all three points to pull away from the lower echelons of the table.
“We must take a step forward. We’re coming into it looking to bounce back against UD Ibiza.
No matter how much you deserve if you fail to pick up all three points the reality is reflected on the table. We’re really motivated and the ambition of bouncing back we’ve been working well and what better way to do it than against the league leaders.
It’s going to be a tough game, like any other, but we’re up against the league at home and they’re two weeks without a win.
We have to take our chances up front, reduce the mistakes at the back and make the most of them to return to winning ways. They can hurt us as they have plenty of quality players but getting the win is on our hands and we must focus on ourselves.
We’re growing and there is plenty of room for improvement and we’re going to show it. The dressing room have always been really united and despite the results our working dynamic is good”.
