Mestalla brimming with emotions running high
Relive the emotional events that took place in the run-up to Valencia CF-Real Betis to pay tribute to the victims and those affected by the tragic flash floods
A very special edition of the Trofeu Taronja 22.23, as this 50th edition of the Trofeu Taronja, in the season in which the Camp de Mestalla will be 100 years old (20 May 2023), with a strong social focus.
In fact, in the run-up to the presentation of the first team, the four most important social projects of the Fundació VCF, with the 21.22 campaign as the most important turning point, and the entities linked to the ADN Mestalla Solidari 21.22 initiative, of the Fundació itself and of Valencia CF, received the applause of Mestalla with representatives and beneficiaries, as well as the Fundació VCF team, coming out onto the pitch.
In particular, two external projects sponsored by the VCF Foundation received donations thanks to the Fundació's charity auction and Amigos donors.
Together for Life has received a donation of 20,000 euros for the construction of a safe house for displaced people in Ukraine. INCLIVA, from the Hospital Clínico de Valencia, has received a donation of 10,000 euros for its research on active ageing.
Likewise, the other two very important projects, already internal to the VCF Foundation itself, were also applauded on the field trip: VCF Inclusivo and its promotion of women's sport; and Escoles Cor Blanquinegre and the promotion of inclusive football in rural areas.
With regard to the ADN Mestalla Solidari initiative, this has involved recognising the work of local social organisations during the 21.22 academic year, in the matches played by Valencia CF at Mestalla. Thus, representatives and beneficiaries of all of them have jointly carried a Fundació VCF banner as a team.
AECC, Youth Red Cross, Civil Protection, Fivan, Hogares Compartidos, Lamna, Incliva, Payasospital, Stop Accidentes, Asprona, Ronald McDonald House, Feder, Aspanion, AsPeGuiCV, Fundació Mira'm, Latiendo Juntos, Avalcae and Asindow.
Anyone who would like to contribute to the VCF Foundation to continue to strengthen its social commitment can do so via BIZUM: 05482. Thank you and Amunt!
