Foulquier: “I feel more comfortable, stronger, and capable of better performance on the pitch every time I go out there”
The Valencia CF player speaks after his contract renewal
A trip to the Balearics is a relative rarity for Valencia CF, who get the chance to play in Majorca on Sunday in the 12pm local time kickoff. The club have not visited Son Moix too frequently in recent years, and their last win against RCD Mallorca there came back in 2011.
It was a tough encounter, in which the home team went ahead thanks to a goal by Ramis. However, Valencia CF dug deep and fought back to win the game. Pablo Hernández was the star of the show, scoring on 32 minutes with a powerful right footed shot from just outside the area, off an assist by Aritz Aduriz.
Hernández would cap the comeback and his brace in the second half, beating goalkeeper Aouate once again -this time at the near post with his left foot.
Since that game on March 5th, 2011, Valencia CF have played away games against RCD Mallorca on two occasions, earning a 1-1 draw in 2011/12, then losing 2-0 at Son Moix the following season. This Sunday they attempt to end a 9-year drought and keep moving up the 2019/20 LaLiga table.
