VCF Academy Programs participants help DANA recovery efforts
The collaborators contribute with messages of support and aid
The II International Tournament of the VCF Soccer Academies in Greece and Cyprus was held last April with great success. The tournament that was attended by 62 teams aged between 8 and 18 years old from England, Serbia, Lithuania and Greece.
During 4 days -from April 18 to 21- nearly 1000 players gathered to enjoy football and the methodology of the VCF Academy throughout the 130 matches that took place in the six fields set up in the town of Kamena Vourla (Greece) that brought together clubs such as Southampton FC (UK), FK Voivodina (Serbia), Zalgiris Kauno Football Academy (Lithuania) or Panathinaikos, PAOK, FC Lamia, Olympiada Immitos of Greece.
Durante 4 días -del 18 al 21 de abril- cerca de 1000 jugadores se dieron cita para disfrutar del fútbol y de la metodología de la Academia VCF a lo largo de los 130 partidos que se disputaron en los seis campos habilitados en la localidad de Kamena Vourla (Grecia) que reunieron a clubes como el Southampton FC (Reino Unido), el FK Voivodina (Serbia), el Zalgiris Kauno Football Academy (Lituania) o el Panathinaikos, PAOK, FC Lamia, Olympiada Immitos de Grecia.
The objective of the tournament was to be a benchmark both in terms of quality and in terms of participation and development of young football talent. It was also a qualitative step for sports tourism in the region and the strengthening of the local economy.
The tournament, which featured 62 teams between the ages of 8 and 18 as well as the U15 female category, was organized by the VCF Soccer Academy of Greece in conjunction with the Region of Central Greece and the municipality of Kameni Voura and was held under the auspices of the Regional Football Association of Fthiotida and sponsored by Star TV, the most important sports channel in Greece.
