The Valencia CF Academy World Cup is set for its fourth edition, once again bringing together nearly 200 U12 players from teams across America, Asia, and Europe during the last week of June. These young talents come from the various international programs that Valencia CF operates worldwide.
This year, the tournament will have a prestigious ambassador: Valencia CF player Diego López, who has shared a special welcome message for all participants. The event will once again fill the Ciutat Esportiva with an incredible football atmosphere and a rich multicultural experience.
“For me, it’s an honor and a pleasure to be the ambassador of this tournament,” said López, who has also represented Spain at the U-21 level and was part of the gold medal-winning team at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
“I hope you all have a wonderful week in Valencia, enjoying the city and the Ciutat Esportiva of Valencia CF,” he added, welcoming the young players to this prestigious international event.
Diego López, who joined the VCF Academy in 2021 and made the leap to Valencia CF from VCF Mestalla, continues as ambassador of the Valencia CF Academy World Cup with other players with a past at the VCF Academy such as Hugo Guillamón, Javi Guerra and Yunus Musah, who have sponsored previous editions of this tournament.
a great experience
Over the course of a week, the VCF Academy Program teams from America, Asia and Europe will live a unique experience in Valencia, one of the best cities in the world to live in according to Forbes magazine, enjoying soccer at the VCF Academy, the fourth best in Europe for training players to compete at the elite level according to the CIES Football Observatory.
The challenge in this IV Valencia CF Academy World Cup is to maintain the high level of satisfaction of players, coaches, family members and companions who have participated in previous editions of a competition that is fully consolidated in the VCF Academy Programs calendar and that also allows them to enjoy a week of multicultural coexistence between the different teams and countries.
