Carlos Corberán begins his tenure as Valencia CF Head Coach
The new Valencia CF coach has already started work at the Ciutat Esportiva de Paterna
The new Valencia CF striker, Roman Yaremchuk, appeared before the media this Thursday on the occasion of his signing for Valencia CF.
Arrival at Valencia CF
"We started talking a long time ago, although he contacted me a few months ago. I really wanted to come here because of the great club and the great fans. I have always been very interested in coming here. It's a great opportunity for me to be here and to be the first Ukrainian in the club's history. I'm looking forward to proving myself and getting started".
Fitness and the upcoming match against Atlético Madrid
"I feel good. I had a lot of preparation with Club Brugge and I also played a lot of matches with Ukraine. Today was my first training session. I feel good about the team and the coach. I'm ready.
Goalscoring target
"I always thought when I came to a team that I would score 20 goals and that everyone would be very happy. But you have to be realistic. I go game by game and if I play well the goals will come. We strikers have to work hard and if I play well, the goals will come".
Better version of Yaremchuk
"In sport, you need a lot of discipline. Both on and off the pitch. You have to be very professional, especially in a competition like LaLiga. Now I need time to show my potential.
Baraja
"I have spoken to Baraja and he has told me what he wants from me".
Future
"I'm focused on this season and we'll see what happens in the future. Valencia CF is a great club and I like it here. If I didn't like it, I wouldn't have come".
Career
"The first six months at Benfica went well, but then I was with Covid, I had injuries and war broke out in Ukraine, so it was very difficult. At Brugge I also got injured, I had some good games, but they gave me few opportunities. I hope that Valencia CF will help me to regain my confidence and get chances to score goals.
Squad
"I was already in Vitoria and I could see the strategy, the preparation and the teammates helped me to understand everything. I have seen the potential and capabilities of my teammates and I am looking forward to playing with them".
