VCF Academy Canada show support for Valencia region
Coach Isma Fayos talks about the response from the North American academy
Liverpool FC, Hertha Berlin and Manchester United. This has been the path of VCF Juvenil A, who in their first pre-season test have won the SuperCup NI in Northern Ireland, playing great football against great European opposition.
VCF Juvenil A have started this pre-season in champion mode, continuing the good progress of the last two seasons in which they have won the Group VII División de Honor title.
The change of cycle could not have started in the best way, putting in a great showing against Liverpool (1-1), Hertha Berlin (2-3) and especially against Manchester United (2-4) against whom they had a superb first half in which they beat the historic Premier League side 1-4 with goals from Pablo López, Otorbi and Oriol Martí and aroused admiration among those in attendance at the game.
In the second half, with the game already sealed the trophy in the bag, the game slowed down, maintaining the lead against a Manchester United side who were reduced to ten men midway through the second half and could hardly trouble VCF Juvenil A who had completed a great tournament in Northern Ireland.
Preparing for the start of the competition
The team coached by Paco Cuenca will now continue their pre-season training camp to prepare for the start of the Group VII División de Honor competition on 3 September against UCAM Murcia. The challenge is huge: to win the Group VII División de Honor title for the third consecutive year.
