Valencia CF celebrate Europe Day with Llíria City Of Music

For Europe Day, celebrated on May 9th to commemorate peace and unity in the continent, Valencia CF have sent out a symbolic message through song, in collaboration with Llíria City of Music.
Valencianistas from the Unió Musical symphony orchestra, conducted by Pacual Cabanes, have come together from their homes to perform Beethoven's 'Ode To Joy' -the song recognised as the 'European anthem'.
Valencia CF supported Llíria's quest to be recognised as a 'Creative Music City' by UNESCO, and the city received the honour on October 30th of last year. On that day, representatives from the area, led by mayor Manolo Civera, were welcomed at Mestalla by Valencia CF president Anil Murthy.
