The Trofeo Naranja boasts the latest technology

The 51st edition of the Trofeo Naranja, held on August 5th, was notable for the recognition given to projects carried out by the VCF Foundation, but also for being the most technological and innovative edition of the preseason game. Valencia CF continue to be at the forefront of audiovisual technology and content, constantly experimenting with innovations that improve fans' visual experience on VCF MEDIA broadcasts.
Valencia CF are the first club in Spain to test a camera with a personalised viewpoint of view of a player during the live broadcast of a match. During the warmup prior to the game against Aston Villa FC, one of the players, Cenk Özcakar, wore this camera, offering a pioneering perspective for a live transmission in a Spanish football stadium.
The broadcast, which was produced by VCF and Mediapro, could be followed live through the stadium's video screens, as well as via streaming on the official Valencia CF website and app and the GOL PLAY television channel.
This camera gave fans an immersive experience in which they could feel that they were on the pitch at Mestalla warming up with the rest of the team. This personalised point of view was added to those of the mascots who accompanied the players onto the pitch, and those taking part in the official team presentation who also carried this new camera.
Other cutting-edge devices were also included in the VCF Media broadcast, such as the special mini-cameras for both of the dugouts and the skycam, to try to make this special event for fans as immersive as possible and offer unique angles in the year of the centenary of Mestalla.
The stadium is the venue where Mediapro and Valencia CF work together to develop some of their most innovative devices, which they later implement in elite sports broadcasts. It is also the pilot training centre for the audiovisual company's Skycam.
