Valencia CF player, Roman Yaremchuk, wanted to give a surprise at Mestalla, to a representation of the Ukrainian people residing in Valencia. A special day for these boys and girls who dream, one day, to be Roman Yaremchuk.
"I have come to be with the Ukrainian people, to chat with them and to be together in these moments. We Ukrainians have to be united no matter where we are. I have come to make the little ones happy and have a good time with them. My job is to try to help the Ukrainian people and always try to be a good person. Whenever I have time I am here to make it more enjoyable for them".
It should be noted that the Valencian Community is the region with more Ukrainian refugees in Spain (45,159) due to the war between Russia and the Ukrainian country. Roman Yaremchuk is one of the Ukrainian professional sportsmen who has always been an example for his country.
In addition, this surprise was attended by the honorary consul of Ukraine in the Valencian Region, Pablo Gil.
"We want to thank Valencia CF and Yaremchuk. Roman is a patriot because he cares about the state of his community, like many Ukrainian professional sportsmen wherever they go, they seek to contribute to the community", indicates Gil.
Without a doubt, it was an unforgettable day for the children who got to meet one of their idols, both on and off the field.
"I was blown away, I didn't expect it. I am very happy to have met Yaremchuk. He's very nice and friendly," said one of the youngsters present.
