Get to know Carlos Corberán better
Review his career here: his training in Spain and his journey through Saudi Arabia, Cyprus, Greece and England.
Nico González' signing for Valencia CF was announced this Saturday, and the midfielder talked to VCF Media about his expectations for the season on loan from FC Barcelona.
Coming to Valencia CF
It's a very big opportunity for my career, and I think that I can offer a lot to this great, historic club.
Hopes for the loan move
I've been very clear. In the end, what I'm looking for by going out on loan from FC Barcelona is to get an opportunity to show what I think I can do, and the level I have. I think that this is the perfect club at which to do that.
The centenary of Mestalla
I only realised recently about the centenary of the stadium and the club badge. It's very nice to form part of something so important, and such a big year for Valencia CF and their entire fanbase. I'm very excited about it.
Talking to Gattuso
I spoke when the rumours of a loan deal started. What they transmitted to me was key to me coming here without any doubts.
His father, Fran
He is a legend, but he played a bit higher up the pitch than me. He was further forward, whilst I play more as a pivot. I played in central midfield in a lot of games last season, but I have more of a defensive profile and am more of a creator from further back.
Ready to play
I've spent five weeks training with Barça and I'm ready. I've been preparing all preseason for the start of LaLiga, and I'm ready.
Hopes for 2022/23
I hope that this year is very special for everybody. I'm sure that it will go very well, and that we will achieve our objectives.
