Memories of Vicente Peris by daughter Merchina
Vicente Peris (1923-1972) is a key figure in the history of Valencia CF. His work as coach and his dedication for decades left an indelible mark at the club. His daughter, Merchina Peris, remembers her father, who died on February 13th, 1972, in conversation with VCF MEDIA.
"My father came in as a bellboy when he was 17, in 1939. Five years later, he was already part of the club," Merchina explains.

"He was always looking at how he could put Valencia CF at the top of the pile on a national and international level, looking for innovations that he could bring in from other clubs," she adds.

Peris experienced Valencia CF games in a unique way. He was so nervous that it was impossible for him to watch from the box.
"He didn't like to watch the games in the box because he was so anxious. He used to watch them on the steps or on the first seat of the bench."

Vicente Peris passed away on February 13th, 1972, but his passion for Valencia CF remains immortal.
