Koba gives gift to Valencia CF upon renewing contract
Koba Leïn signed his new contract with Valencia CF on Wednesday, and the young midfielder had a surprise prepared for the club for the occasion. As he put pen to paper on the deal which sees him remain at the club through to June 2025, he handed over a traditional New Caledonian gift to Valencia CF President Anil Murthy, as a sign of appreciation for the trust that has been shown in him since arriving at the VCF Academy two years ago.
“My origins are from New Caledonia, this is a typical gift there. It is to thank the club for the confidence you have had in me. The fabric represents the bond that we have after having renewed my contract. The totem was made by my father, and represents protection and having a guarding that watches over the club as a whole."
