Kluivert: "I can't wait to show what I can do"
Justin Kluivert arrived in Spain on Thursday night to sign with Valencia CF, and the Dutchman had a flying start to his loan spell at the club: After signing his contract before the transfer deadline and training for the first time at the Ciudad Deportiva, the attacker talked to VCF Media about following in the footsteps of his father in playing at Mestalla.
Arriving in Valencia
I'm very happy to be here. It's a beautiful club that is also part of my family's history. I've been here before. I can't remember a lot about it, but I'm very happy to be here again, and I will give my all for the club.
His first training session
Training was tough and was good. Training under Gattuso is no joke, but I already knew that and it's one of the reasons why I came here: Because of the coach, the team and the club. I missed training hard, so I can't wait to get started.

Looking forward to seeing the fans
I hope that all the fans will come to the stadium for every game that they can, to support us and so that we can give our all for the fans.
Learning from his father, Patrick
My father taught me a lot. The most important thing that he told me is that it's a beautiful club and a beautiful city as well. The league is also a very beautiful league. He thinks that LaLiga will suit me, so we'll see. I also believe that.

The number 9 shirt
Wearing the number 9 is also funny, because my dad played here with that number. It's a beautiful number. I know that if you wear the number 9 you have to score goals, so I know what I have to do.
Talking with Gattuso
I like this competition. I said to the coach and to the players when I trained with them: We can achieve a lot of great things this season. I want to be a part of that.
Gattuso told me a lot, but the most important thing was just to give my all, and that we will have a great season together: The whole team, the whole club and all the fans. He said to give 100%. Everybody knows what Gattuso was like as a player: 99% is not enough. You need to give 100% in training and in games. That's what I want to do, and I'm very happy to be here.

Ready to go
It's very nice. I have some things in my backpack. I'm very happy to be here. It's a great league. I've learned a lot already, at my young age, and I can't wait to show everybody here in Spain.
