First time at the Reino de León... but not for Celades
Wednesday night sees Valencia CF's Copa del Rey campaign continue with a visit to León, where they will play Cultural Leonesa in the Last 16 of the competition. The team have never had a match at the Reino de León stadium since its inauguration in 2001, and it will be the first away game against Cultural since 1955.
That fixture, held on October 9th, was won by the home side 3-0. VCF Mestalla have played Cultural Leonesa on the road most recently, in a 2-1 loss in the Segunda División back on January 7th 1973.

Coach Albert Celades does have experience of the Reino de León, however, leading the Spain Under-21s to a 4-0 triumph there against Belarus in a 2015 friendly. That day could have seen a run-out for José Luis Gayà, but he was withdrawn from the squad with a muscle injury.
