MATCH REPORT | VCF Mestalla LOSES OUT TO Fulham FC (3-2)
Matchday 1 of the Premier League International Cup
VCF Mestalla’s goalkeeper, Charly Pérez, shares the keys behind the team’s perfect start to the 2021-2022 season with three wins from their three opening fixtures on VCF Media.
“We’ve started fairly well, but we’ve got to keep it up. We’ve got a game coming up next week at a tough ground and we’ve got to continue picking up points, there’s a long way to go and we want to take all three points.
We couldn’t keep a clean sheet in the two opening fixtures. We almost managed to do so away at Orihuela. It’s an important aspect, but getting the win is above anything else.
We’re working well offensively and defensively and overall the team are balancing both aspects and I’m really happy with that.
Angulo congratulated us on the win at full-time and said that we’ve got to keep working, there’s a long way to go and there are many fixtures left to play”.
