Over the last few months Valencia CF have an ally to keep on developing their professionals: Football Science Institute (FSI) is a school for the training and development of research projects for professional clubs.
The common objective, as Bernardo Requena CEO and school founder explains is that the football teams improve their training processes to allow their member to develop and update their knowledge and to be able to share them with the experts: the key is to support the clubs’ needs and from there, generate new knowledge that reinvents both the Club and our training courses. Thus, as Bernardo Requena admits "Being part of the VCF Innovation Hub is an honour that has meant a very important step for us".
FSI are currently developing a research project aimed at optimising injury prevention which has already started giving results. “Valencia CF have conveyed us the need for improvement in this aspect and FSI have brought in their consultants to search for solutions. A great work of coordination that is useful for everyone, says Bernardo Requena.
During the visit Miguel Alonso, VCF Academy Conditional High Performance Manager has accompanied the FSI around the sporting facilities and has highlighted the importance of this collaboration: “FSI are a worldwide reference in terms of development, research and innovation and we’re always looking improve all these aspects, not only for us but also for the sporting and scientific community”.
