Anita Marcos returns to VCF Femenino
VCF Femenino and Anita Marcos have reached an agreement for the forward to rejoin the club, through to June 30th, 2023.
Born in Seville on July 9th, 2000, Marcos arrives from Sporting de Huelva for her second spell at the club. She previously played for VCF Femenino in 2020/21, on loan from Atletico Madrid.
During her six-month stint with the Valencia CF women's team, she played under coach José Bargues, participating in 16 games and scoring 3 goals.
Last season, at Sporting de Huelva, Marcos featured in 26 games, finding the net on 10 occasions in Primera Iberdrola and helping the side to the Copa de la Reina final with 4 key goals.
She has finished as a runner-up in the Copa de la Reina on two further occasions, in 2017 and 2019, as well as winning the Liga Iberdrola in 2019.
Marcos is predominantly a poacher in the penalty area, with a prolific scoring record. Her talents have been recognised at youth level for Spain, as she twice featured in the Under-19s European Championship winning side, in 2017 and 2018.
Anita Marcos: “I have decided to commit to Valencia CF because this is a team with a long history, I like their style of play and, above all, they have a very young team with a lot of room for growth and learning. Thanks to daily work and effort, this opportunity came to me again. I didn't want to let it pass me by. Amunt!”
