Angulo: “We’ve put in a really complete performance and we’ll keep working as it won’t be an easy ride”

VCF Mestalla head coach Miguel Ángel Angulo shared his thoughts in post-match to assess their perfect start to the season following their comprehensive 4-0 home over CD Olímpic to tighten their grip at the top of the table.
“I’m very happy with the boys’ work today, they’ve made a great effort and put in a really complete performance, as we’d planned at first and they’ve pulled it off almost to perfection against a side who turned up above all in the first half and made it tough for us at times. We knew we had to work for full ninety minutes without sitting back.
It was also important for us to keep a clean sheet, as we hadn’t managed to do so in the two previous games and we had a small thorn in our side against a tough Olímpic side who were going to demand a lot from us from set pieces so we had to be really focused as the boys were.
We’re happy about our third straight win but we have to keep our feet on the ground there’s a long way to go. We’ve picked three wins from three games but this is a long season and all sides compete against us.
We’ve got a tough away game against Jove Español. We know it’s going to be tough and it won’t be an easy ride”.
