Amallah: “I'm very happy to be at this great club”
The new Valencia CF midfielder, Selim Amallah, spoke to the media this Wednesday after he was presented as a new loan arrival at the club.
His arrival at Valencia CF
I never hesitated about coming here. There were other offers, but ever since the club contacted me I was only focused on Valencia CF. We have always been in close contact. I knew there were other issues to sort out before I arrived, but now that I'm here I'm very happy.
His position on the field of play
I'm a midfielder and skillful with the ball, but I like to play high up the pitch and I will try to adapt as best as possible to help the team. My favorite position is as a number 10, but I can also play in the number 8 spot. One of my strengths is my versatility.
Players he looked up to from Valencia CF
I have always liked Aimar a lot. This year it has really impressed me that there is a very good group, especially in the midfield with players like Almeida and Javi Guerra.
Training under Baraja
The first session went very well. I have spoken a lot with Baraja; he is a Valencia CF legend and I am convinced that I am going to contribute a lot to the team.
The aim for the season
We haven't talked about this yet. I have only just arrived. We have to take things game-by- game and we will see how the season unfolds. On an individual level, my goal will be to stay here at the end of the season. I'm at a great club and I hope to do my best.
His shirt number
I have chosen to use the number 19. It is the number I have worn since I was in Belgium at Standard Liege.
The fans
The Valencia CF fans clearly love football. They are always there, in the good times and the bad. Last year was a tough season and they stood by the team. I hope to bring them a lot of joy.
